Happy 2010! To celebrate this summer holiday, Chinese Conservation Education Trust (CCET) has prepared three “Walk and Talk”, sharing the beauty of nature and art, nature and culture, history with you.

Auckland Botanic Garden is more beautiful than usual this summer as the “Sculpture in the garden” show, which ends in February. We are going to have a one-hour's walk around the garden and talk about the art and gardening, art and conservation. There are two days' walk in Auckland Botanic Garden. They have different focus though. Light tea is available after the walk. Please bring your drinking water, hat and walking shoes.
First walk:

We are lucky to invite famous artist, Mr Haihui Wang to explain how to mix the elements of art and nature well together. Mr Haihui Wang has got a Master degree of Fine Art in Auckland University. He loves art and nature, with more than 10 years' painting experience.
Second walk:
Date and time: 12:00 – 15:00, February 7th, Sunday
We will talk about the gardening elements in details in this talk, together with art and garden, art and conservation.

Walk and Talk

6th February is public holiday, Waitangi Day. To celebration this festival and to offer more chances for all of you to learn about Maori history. We are going to have a two-hours' walk around Mangere Mountain. Mangere Mountain is a volcano with rich nature and human elements. As Maori has been living there for years, their culture and history largely influence this area. We will give out Chinese translation leaflets of the Mountain.
