Nearly 170 people gathered
together on Motutapu Island to celebrate CCET's first
anniversary. They enjoyed talks on the island's marine
life and historic castles. They also tasted the traditional
Maori meal, Hangi, which they participated in the preparation.
To mark this special occasion, the CCET trustees planted
a Pohutukawa on the island to symbolise the endless
effort of the Trust to spread the message of conservation
among the Chinese Community. |
