An open day for 160 members was held at the Biosecurity Detector Dog Centre on 13 July. Talks on how the detection operated were given about Protect New Zealand Week and MAF Quarantine Service and CITES. Both the airport beagles and the international mail centre dogs gave demonstration. The event was very popular and there were some 100 members on the waiting list.
