CCET, with Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens, has organized the ‘Eco-friendly gardening workshop’ on November 9. Our aim was to provide participants with gardening skills that are environmental friendly to apply. Our experienced horticulturist from the Gardens, Mr Steve Benham, hosted the workshop. The topics had been designed to suit the Chinese community. They included organic gardening, edible gardens, weed identification and management, worm farming, composting, and an introduction to Asian plants that were suitable for use in Auckland.
