We were overwhelming by
the response for this activity. At the end 70 people
registered, 20 more than planned for.
People started arriving at Otara Reserve at 9:45 am
with the spades in their hands despite the cloudy, showery
weather. The organizer, Stream Team, is a very professional
team. They had different kinds of seedlings put into
place before we arrived. Andrew Jenks, head of the team,
explained the correct way to handle and plant the seedlings.
Within 2 hours, we planted more than 1000 young trees.
The team, City Council officer, and Jin, an Otara conservationist,
were all impressed by the effort of our CCET members. |
